Doctor Up Close is a permanent exhibition, open 7 days a week, featuring a host of props, costumes and monsters from all the latest series of Doctor Who.
See first hand some of the spectacular props, costumes, and monsters from Doctor Who. Get Up Close to creatures from other worlds including some of the very latest enemies of the Doctor.
There are also explanatory graphics highlighting Doctor Who's production involvement in and around Cardiff, together with comments from the production crew and location photographs.
Series 5 items now on show:
- The Khaki Dalek, Winston Churchill costume and Amy Pond costume from Episode 3 - 'Victory of the Daleks'
- The smilers make an appearance from Episode 2 - 'The Beast Below'
- Stone Angel and Cleric Marco from Episode 4 - 'The Time of Angels'
- Amy Pond costume from Episode 7 - 'Amy's Choice'
Other recent props on display include an Ood Elder from 'The End of Time,' a fly-headed 'Tritovore' and Lady Christina De Souza's costume from 'Planet of the Dead,' plus 'The Flood' monster and Maggie and Tarak costumes from 'The Waters of Mars.' There is also a special display from the team behind the show's monsters, Millennium FX, showing the production process behind creating an Ood.
If you've seen it on TV, you may well find it lurking here! And be warned there are Daleks too! Entry is free to the extensive Doctor Who Up Close shop.
